Meet the captain

Eighteen seasons, one water.

Captain's hands rigging a golden ballyhoo bait at dawn aboard The Drift

“I've fished this edge since I was a kid on my father's skiff. I know where the bait stacks in March and where the sails push in December. You bring the crew — the water's my job.

What's included

Show up. That's the list.

Fishing licenses for everyone aboard
Live bait, tackle and tournament-grade rods
Ice, cooler space and bottled water
Fish cleaning and bagging at the dock

What if the weather turns bad?

Captain's call, made early. If we cancel for weather you reschedule free or get a full deposit refund — no arguing with an app's fine print. Safety first, always.

Are kids and first-timers welcome?

Absolutely — half-day reef trips were practically designed for them. The crew baits, rigs and coaches. Plenty of shade, a real restroom, calm water options every day.

What should we bring?

Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and whatever you want to snack on. Everything fishing-related is on the boat. A light jacket helps on the sunrise ride out.

Do we get seasick?

Most guests never feel it — the morning water inside the reef is glassy. If you're prone, take your preferred remedy an hour before we leave and you'll be fine.

How does the deposit work?

A small deposit holds your date; the balance is settled at the dock. Booking direct means no 15–20% marketplace markup hidden in your price.

“Booked the sunset drift for our anniversary. A tarpon rolled thirty feet from the boat as the sun went down. Unreal.”
